Norfolk County’s inaugural “Fairgrounds Festival” took place Friday and Saturday at the Norfolk County Fairgrounds in Simcoe, Ontario. The two-day event included music from some of the best Canadian musicians from the 90s and as well as a night market with many artisan vendors, local craft beer, and wine gardens. The event also featured “Find your Folk” tourism zones showcasing all that Norfolk County has to offer.

The Party on the Track Concerts are a new initiative this year to help promote Norfolk County and attract tourists to the county. While talking with Angela H., the show’s general manager, she talked about the Mumford and Son’s show that occurred ten years ago that brought 30,000 fans to Norfolk County Fairground for a one-day show, and she sees no reason why the festival at the fairgrounds could not turn into a real entertainment destination in the near future.

Headlining on Friday night were the Beaches, an all-female band from Toronto, as well as Dizzy from Oshawa. Saturday night’s concert lineup rocked the grandstand with three amazing artists, Bif Naked, Sloan and Finger 11.
