Review: Voodoo Moonshine’s single/video “Give It to Me” – July 1, 2022

Florida/Georgia-based Blues Rock act Voodoo Moonshine has released their latest single ‘Give It to Me’, taken from their new album ‘Bottom of the Barrel’.The track was inspired by a road trip guitarist Jeff Losawyer took with his dog, Daisy from Oklahoma to Memphis in preparation for the album. The lyrics came about one night in his hotel room when Losawyer started to think about one-night stands.

‘Give It to Me’ is described as a ‘more radio-friendly, danceable song, and pop rock compared to others’. The song is accompanied by a fun video that sees a group of drinkers joining in a line dance. The song begins with Losawyer’s screeching blues-based guitar leads that are bound to get anybody on their feet. New vocalist Pedro Espada croons over rock grooves and rhythmic drum fills to create a powerful and fun slab of hard rock.

Voodoo Moonshine was formed nearly twenty years ago and achieved much success with high- profile coverage in England, Ireland, Japan and America. They continue to produce rock songs with catchy riffs and hook-laden choruses to keep those feet and hips moving a little bit longer.
