Review: Country to Country 2026 (London)– The Premier Celebration of Country Music at The O2.

Country to Country (C2C) 2026 returned this year to Belfast, Glasgow and London’s O2 Arena with swagger and confidence of a festival that knows exactly what it represents: a joyous, full‑throttle celebration of country music’s past, present, and future. Now in its thirteenth year, C2C has long established itself as the UK’s premier country music event, drawing tens of thousands of fans across three days with a blend of arena‑sized spectacle, intimate showcases, and an atmosphere of genuine community.
The atmosphere throughout the weekend was unmistakably electric. As soon as you entered The O2, the festival spirit was impossible to miss—acoustic sets spilling from pop‑up stages, fans in Stetsons comparing setlists, and a sense of transatlantic connection that has become a hallmark of C2C. Since its inception in 2013, the festival has been credited with transforming the UK’s relationship with country music, fostering a passionate, knowledgeable audience and giving British fans a taste of Nashville culture on home soil.

The daytime programming across The O2’s multiple stages added to this dynamic atmosphere. For the first time, it didn’t rain! The pop‑up sets, songwriter rounds, and acoustic sessions created an environment of discovery, inviting festivalgoers to drift between crowds, stumble upon new favourites, and witness breakout artists up close before seeing arena-filling stars later in the evening. This balance of intimacy and scale is one of the things that sets C2C apart—and 2026 delivered it with renewed confidence.
C2C 2026’s headliners—Zach Top, Keith Urban, and Brooks & Dunn—each brought distinct energy to their nights, making for a perfectly balanced weekend. The festival has always been known for securing top-tier talent, but this year’s lineup felt especially meaningful.

Zach Top headlined the opening night with his first-ever large arena UK performance, marking a milestone both for the rising star and for fans eager to witness the new face of neo-traditional country. He resonated powerfully with the crowd. This set the tone for the festival.
Keith Urban, returning to C2C for the first time in seven years, was nothing short of electrifying. His genre‑blending, guitar and set list lit up the arena before left the stage to play through a track with and in the crowd. He is considered one of modern country’s premier showmen and this is why.
The weekend concluded with Brooks & Dunn, making their first UK appearance since 2010. Their classical hit-based set was both a celebration and iconic finally some seeing them for the first time.

Whilst there were the long-anticipated standout performances on the main stage with Russell Dickerson (who must headline one day) and Scotty McCreery (who is loved by many) the headliners were balanced by some of the supporting acts. Alana Springsteen & Ashley Cooke, some of the spotlight was stolen by the newer acts, such as Emily Ann Roberts, the Jack Wharff and of course Drake Milligan. Off the main stage areas were one off events. The Bluebird Café and the Song Suffragettes made the journey over to London with some exquisite performances in a very intimate setting. It’s worth mentioning Alyssa Flaherty who at 22 is crafting a reputation for poignant, thought-provoking songwriting who looks to go the distance in the business.
Country to Country 2026 succeeds not just as a festival, but as a cultural event. The atmosphere was warm, engaging, inclusive, and unmistakably country, while the headliners delivered performances that felt both historic and iconic. C2C once again proved why it remains the beating heart of the UK’s country music scene—a weekend-long reminder of the power of great storytelling, great musicianship, and a great crowd.
