Review: Kurt Deimer – “In Deep” (Acoustic Version) – Release date: January 9, 2026
How do you like your rock served—hard-hitting classic style, or stripped-down acoustic with dual vocals?
With “In Deep,” you don’t have to choose. Better yet, you can have both.
The full-throttle rock version is exactly what classic hard rock fans crave: big riffs, driving energy, and enough punch to climb Active Rock Radio, currently sitting at #43 and closing in on the Top 40. Meanwhile, the acoustic take pares things back without losing an ounce of intensity, featuring Kurt Deimer trading verses with Buckcherry frontman Josh Todd. It retains all the tension of the electric version while standing strongly as its own powerful rocker.
Deimer’s fierce attitude and songcraft have already turned heads in the hard rock world. Tesla’s Brian Wheat, five-time Grammy-winning producer Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, Breaking Benjamin)—who helmed this track—and Bon Jovi guitarist Phil X (co-writer on several album cuts) are all on board. Queensrÿche legend Geoff Tate even guested on Deimer’s debut album And So It Begins….
Both versions of “In Deep” deliver precisely what hard rock fans have been hungry for. As an added treat, Kurt Deimer has just announced his upcoming horror film Scared to Death, slated for release in early 2026.
