Review: Hazlett – Last Night You Said You Missed Me – Release date: September 12, 2025
When autumn is on the brink (or eventually starts) you just might be set for some thoroughly calming sounds that, at the same time have something substantial to say and don’t veer into that dreaded musical wallpaper territory.
Possibly what just might fill that bill is ‘last night you said you missed me,’ the new (third) album by Hazlett, Sweden-based, Australian-born singer-songwriter. And he seems to have already struck a chord with the listeners with over 450M global streams, 2.5M+ monthly Spotify listeners, and 117K+ TikTok fans.
It is all hazy, languid tunes, with some soothing sounds that combine folk and pop and never run into melodrama or anything that could be likened with too many sugar cubes in your cup of tea. No wonder he has so many listeners, with that number set to grow further.
