Review: Elspeth Tremblay & The Treatment’s single “Tragic” – Release date March 29, 2025
This new single by Elspeth Tremblay & The Treatment my be titled ‘Tragic,” but there’s nothing really tragic about it. It has this brooding tension built in that promises to explode at any second, but Elspeth (vocals. guitar) and her band (Ryan Dougherty, guitars, Ray Slagle, bass, Joe Condon, drums and Marcelle Hawn, sax) keep things under the lid throughout, strengthening some very good songwriting and Elspeths’ excellent vocals.
The Detroit band have been around for a while, with ‘Iconoclastic’ album released back in 2023 and soon-to-be released ‘Cut Your Lossess,’ a 6-song EP from which this single is culled.
