Chatting with Sammy Lee of hard rock band Red Reign

Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, the band Red Reign is no stranger to Rock At Night. We reviewed their single “Yesterday” in 2021 and recently “Don’t Look Back.  Red Reign is comprised of Carlton “Bubba” McMichael on vocals and guitar, Sammy Lee on drums, Larry Moore on bass and Stevie Shred on guitar. The band, which formed in 2014, has opened for the likes of Tesla, Lita Ford, Winger, Quiet Riot.

In the interview, Sammy Lee discusses the band’s latest single “Don’t Look Back,” writing music during COVID, mental health, and using the double-kick bass drum for music.

Red Reign’s album Don’t Look Back  will be released on October 27, 2023 through Deko Entertainment.
