Music Review: The Persian Leaps – Machines for Living EP-Release date October 7, 2022

Some of the readers might have noticed a recent rave review of the Persian Leaps single ‘Maybe time Will Let Me Forget,’ an exquisite, melody and harmony vocal-laden single by one Drew Forsberg and his Minneapolis cohorts that go under the name of The Persian Leaps.

This Leaps version of the Dan Fogelberg and John Asher (actually, Forsberg’s uncle), is luckily included on The Persian Leaps new 5-song EP – ‘Machines for Living.’ So, what’s new here?

Actually, there are things both new and old here. New is that Forsberg has come up with four new songs along with the single.

Old is that the quality of those songs is equal to his Fogelberg/Asher cover, showing that Forsberg has the songwriting capabilities that can match those of the well-known duo. Also ‘old’ is the fact that these songs are melodious, uplifting and worthy of any quality power pop list you can compile on Spotify, any other streaming service, or at the comfort of your bedroom. Excellent stuff.
