Detroit shows 311 lots of love at The Fillmore

Venue: The Fillmore, Detroit–June 25, 2017–311 “Mosaic” tour

Last year, 311 came to Detroit and had to cut their set short due to the weather. This time, 311 played a two hour set at the Fillmore for their fans and they didn’t disappoint.

311 opened up their set with “Perfect Mistake” from their new album “Mosaic” and the crowd went wild. “Perfect Mistake” is one of my favorite songs from their new album since its pack with good guitar riffs, great lyrics, and the vocals are strong from both vocalist Nick Hexum and S.A. Martinez.

This is probably one of the best concerts I’ve attended since the fans were singing along to almost every song. I mean, when I say singing along, the whole venue was singing along. 311 has always had a great fan base, especially since 311 has always been a band that is known to experiment with different sounds.

Another great song from their latest album they played was “Too Much Too Think”, a song that combines reggae and rock together perfectly. Other songs that got the crowd going crazy were “Down” from their self titled album, “Freeze Time” (Seeing S.A. Martinez on the turntables was pretty badass) and “Come Original” from “Soundsystem, “Jackpot” from “Uplifter” a song that made fans jump and go crazy.

311 ended their set with an encore set with songs from “Mosaic” and “Grassroots” and their first EP “Downstairs”.
