Live Review: Scotty Austin Band – The Premier, Hickory, North Carolina – September 19, 2026
Scotty Austin and his band rolled into Hickory, North Carolina, on September 19 for a special night at The Premier, also known as Hickory Premier.
This was a night the fans won’t soon forget as Scotty Austin and Saving Abel joined forces for an unforgettable show packed with rock, energy, and fan interaction.
Before even taking the stage, Scotty made his way around the side of the stage and straight toward the fans, taking the time to connect with the people who came out to see him. High fives, handshakes, and fist bumps were exchanged as he made his way across the barricade before finally jumping on stage and kicking off the show.
Scotty delivered a powerful set featuring original songs including, “Left for Dead,” “Souls on My Shoes,” and “Talk About You.” He also brought the crowd to life with a high-energy performance of Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell,” complete with audience participation.
Saving Abel closed out the night with firing performances including their biggest hit “Addicted” as well as their newest single “Hive” featuring Scotty Austin with Scotty joining Saving Abel on stage during the performance of Hive.
As soon as the doors opened, it was clear this was going to be more than just another concert. Scotty brought the energy, the fans brought the passion, and together they created an atmosphere that made the night truly special. Before the start of the show, after his own set, after joining Saving Abel on stage for “Hive,” and again after the show ended, Scotty and his band could be found at their merch table. They spent time signing merchandise, taking photos with fans, and simply having an all-around great time with everyone who came out to the show.
Hickory showed up, Scotty Austin and Saving Abel showed up and made sure the night rocked.

Over the years, I’ve photographed live performances and toured with musicians, capturing the energy, emotion, and moments that make every show unique. When I’m home, I’m often outdoors with my camera, photographing wildlife and taking in the quiet beauty of nature. Whether it’s the excitement of a concert or a wildlife moment that lasts only seconds, I love being there to capture it.
