Live Review: Bad Press’s single “Wasted” – Release date: February 13, 2026
There is a term that we should be reminded when listening to ‘Wasted,’ the new single by Austin Texas trio Bad Press – modernizing the classics. In the trio’s case, it is not a revival of a particular classic rock, soul or blues song, but actually giving modern touches to a combination of these classic genres within one song, an Bad Press to an excellent job here, giving a modern pop veneer to a style that should remain among us. No bad press needed here. in the literal sense of that term.
The trio (Tanner Loach – vocals, Devlin Manning – bass, and Sebastian Erdman – drums) started conceiving this song some five years ago, when the band was sprawled across their living room, nursing yet another hangover and planning the next night out. That is where maybe those bluesy soulful touches came from.
