Review: Bryan Adams’ New Album Roll With The Punches – Release date August 29, 2025 (Via Bad Records)

When you think of the versatile Canadian singer-songwriter and musician Bryan Adams, what songs come to mind? Perhaps it’s the soul-stirring (‘Everything I Do) I Do It For You’, the high-energy ‘Summer of 69’, the ethereal ‘Heaven’, or the soulful ‘Somebody’. Bryan Adams is a master of diverse musical styles, capable of rocking with the best of them and moving you to tears with his heartfelt ballads.

Mr. Adams has released his newest album, “Rolling With The Punches,” and, in usual fashion, shows his skill as a writer and performer.

The title track is about facing hard times, getting knocked down, but getting up again, a theme that every listener can connect with. ‘Make Up Your Mind’ is a great tune that delves into the emotional complexity of confronting an ex to decide whether to stay or go. ‘A Little More Understanding’ has a Rolling Stones-like feel, which will keep you coming back for more. It even features a nice organ/keyboard solo, which is very rare in today’s music and really adds to the song’s structure. ‘Love Is Stronger Than Hate’ is an emotionally moving song about a soldier who has witnessed the horrors of war and must readjust to society. ‘Two Arms to Hold You’ is another beautiful ballad that centers around love, trust, and support. ‘Be The Reason’ has Bryan Adams back to his rocking ways, with a great message about being kind to others through simple gestures and kind words. ‘Never Ever Let You Go’, ‘Life Is Beautiful’, ‘How’s That Working For Ya’, and ‘Will We Ever Be Friends Again’ complete this fantastic album, which will both rock you and move you to tears.

Bryan Adams, with his incredible gifts and talents, has not just survived but thrived in the music business for five decades. His longevity is a testament to his enduring appeal and musical prowess. Be sure to catch him on his current world tour.
