Review: Jenn Vix – In The Air Tonight

You really have to have courage, to do a cover a song that probably even some younger listeners have heard so many times, in its original form or otherwise. Not only because the song might be overfamiliar, but because you really have to give it some new touches to make your version the one people will care to listen to.

Yet, not only did Providence, Rhode Island rocker Jenn vix, venture into covering ‘In The Air Tonight,’ Phill Collins’ venerable classic, but she brought in true legends like Vernon Reid on guitar and Kwebass on bass to make something truly special here.

This one-time trio actually does the almost impossible thing – it does bring something new to the air (tonight or tomorrow), giving this song new life and vibrancy. True single.
