Live Review: Babie at The Saint, Asbury Park, New Jersey-January 5, 2022
In a very odd time with the pandemic still going strong live shows are at a minimum right now. Most venues are cancelling shows left and right and tours are continuing to cancel shows that they waited almost two years to reschedule. The Saint has a lot of history like most places in Asbury Park one of the coolest music towns around. So many musical acts have played at The Saint from Jewel to Ween even Sean Lennon and David J Haskins from Bauhaus.
Nothing compares to seeing the younger bands of the future perform like Babie. Babie a local band fronted by Julia Affinito played The Saint in Asbury Park, NJ. Julia commanded the stage like a frontperson should. She had a powerful voice with the stage presence to back it up. Her band was great at doing what they are good at and allowing her to shine. Julia presently has some cool music out as well as some videos to check out.
