Today, Macklemore unveils the video for Marmalade featuring Lil Yachty. The Jason Koenig-directed video was shot in Washington and follows Mini Macklemore and Lil Lil Yachty on their Ferris Bueller-style adventure. The video features brief cameos from the artists themselves, as well as running back legend Marshawn Lynch.
Marmalade was recorded at Macklemore’s home studio in Seattle last Fall. It was co-produced by Joshua “Budo” Karp and Tyler “Damn Dude” Dopps, with additional production from Macklemore.
Marmalade follows the continuing success of current single Glorious featuring Skylar Grey. The viral video for “Glorious” starring Macklemore’s 100 year old grandmother has over 25 million views in less than a month. “Glorious” is currently #7 on the ARIA singles chart and #9 on the iTunes singles chart.
