Review: Snapcat Bandit’s single “Bury Myself Down” – Release date April 24, 2026

Snapcat Bandits

Snapcat Bandits, the dynamic alternative rock/grunge duo from the Detroit area, are quickly becoming one of the most exciting acts in the indie scene. Blending raw grunge energy with pop-punk edge and powerful alternative rock sensibilities, the band has been on our radar at Rock At Night for the past two years.

You can catch our full interview with them HERE or in the latest print issue (a free digital version is available on our website).

Formed in 2023, Snapcat Bandits—known as Detroit’s Dynamic Duo—consist of multi-instrumentalist Mike Krupinski (vocals, guitar, bass) and powerhouse drummer Melanie Marshall. Their sound is emotionally charged, unpolished, and authentic, drawing clear inspiration from legends like Soundgarden and Nirvana. The duo writes and records all their own material, with mixing and mastering handled by Grammy-winning producer Chuck Alkazian at Pearl Sound Studios.

Their highly anticipated third EP, Down to the Last Minute: Part 1, is on the way. This five-track release will roll out sequentially throughout 2026, starting with the first single “Bury Myself Down,” dropping on all major platforms on April 24, 2026.

Rock At Night says: “Bury Myself Down” cranks the intensity up several notches, delivering a harder, heavier sound than the band’s previous work. True to their promise of a darker direction, the track is a raw, hard-driving punk beast. Krupinski delivers a desperate, throat-grabbing plea—“I’m about to lose my self-control, I’ve got to find a way to save my soul”—capturing the raw emotion of someone hanging on by a thread.

The song explodes with a killer guitar solo that shifts the track into grungier, almost psychedelic territory, complete with swirling wah-wah pedal. It’s bold, visceral, and exactly the evolution we’ve been waiting for.

We’re loving this heavier direction—and we can’t wait for more from Detroit’s Dynamic Duo.
