Interview: The Fixer – Recorded March 2026
The Fixer is a genre-blending metal band hailing from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Known for their dark, sexy, and loud sound, they fuse crushing guitars, synth-drenched melodies, danceable rhythms, and powerful pop-infused vocals into a unique mix of melodic metal, industrial rock, gothic metal, and darkwave.
Fronted by the captivating Belladonna (Melladonna), whose stunning vocals and elaborate stage presence command attention, the band delivers high-energy live shows that feel both heavy and heartfelt. With a “heart of gold” beneath their intense sound, The Fixer has built a dedicated following through relentless touring across Canada and releases like the full-length album Your Lie (2023), the The Prowl EP, and recent singles such as “Ugly Knots” and “It Will End Tonight.”
Equal parts emotional powerhouse and riff-driven force, The Fixer continues to push boundaries in the pop-metal underground while staying true to their roots in hardcore, punk, and heavier territories.
“Tampa” Earl had a chance to sit down with Melladonna, the singer for the group, and Vic, and they tell us all about the difference between being an independent artist and one signed with a label and what we can expect for the rest of 2026 from the band.
