Manchester’s fast-rising rock outfit Corella has dropped their latest single, “Rewire”, marking their debut release on the FLG label.
The track was helmed by Grammy Award-winning producer Jason Perry (known for his work with acts like The Molotovs, McFly, and Don Broco). “Rewire” delivers a high-octane rock punch, powered by soaring guitar lines, pounding drums, deep bass grooves, and raw, snarling vocals that channel widespread political frustration on both sides of the Atlantic.
Frontman and guitarist Joel Smith explains the inspiration behind it: “So many people, particularly here in the UK, feel incredibly exposed and ready to accept whatever narrative is fed to them. The song stems from our growing irritation at watching how easily folks get ‘rewired’ into certain mindsets. But it’s also a call to action—to turn that around, question everything, and push back against the norm.”

The band first unveiled it during summer festivals across the UK and Europe last year, and it’s kept the momentum going strong in 2026 while supporting Kaiser Chiefs on their UK tour. That slot came after Kaiser Chiefs caught Corella’s electrifying main-stage set at Kendal Calling and personally chose them as support.

“Rewire” serves as the first new material since their 2024 debut album Once Upon A Weekend, which stormed into the Top 5 on the UK Independent Breakers Chart and the Top 20 across Album Sales, Physical, and Vinyl charts.
The band has built serious traction, earning backing from BBC Radio 1, Radio X, and BBC Introducing, while racking up more than 70 million streams since the album’s release. That support has fueled sold-out headline tours across the UK and Europe, major festival slots (including Reading & Leeds main stages), and tours alongside bands like Pale Waves, Circa Waves, and The Wombats.
