Live Review: Mirador with support by Lady of Mars – Islington Academy, London – November 11, 2025

Support Lady of Mars tore in at 7:45 with festival-honed fury—London’s indie-punk darlings since 2024, all snarling riffs and sky-high vocals that primed the room perfectly.
Then Mirador—Jake Kiszka (Greta Van Fleet) and Chris Turpin (Ida Mae)’s boundary-bursting rock ‘n’ roll beast—unleashed their debut album live to a capacity, multi-generational mob. A year old and already worshiped; the devotion hit fever pitch the second they strode on.
Virtuosos, yes, but never show-offs. Every lick and fill felt earned. The set swung from soul-baring slow burns to upbeat stompers and full-tilt anthems, mirroring the crowd’s age span. A mid-show bass-and-drum duel was pure thunder—masterful, locked-in, and met with roars.
Nothing outshone the rest, but “Ashes to Earth” soared highest—my pick from the record, and a live revelation.
Honestly? They were really good. Mirador didn’t just play London—they conquered it.
