Rock At Night recently reviewed a concert in Tampa with The Haunt and Chez. We were so impressed with Chez, an interview was in order.
Chez is the stage name of Chezni Watson, a 27-year-old Australian alt-pop singer-songwriter from Australia. She’s known for her confident, bold style with growling guitars, dynamic production, and raw, vulnerable lyrics. Her music blends pop anthems with emotional depth, often drawing comparisons to artists like Dua Lipa or Billie Eilish.
In the interview, Chez discusses how her first American tour is going, her latest release “Reaper,” and the difficulties of being a foreign artist coming to the States.

“Tampa” Earl is a 40-year veteran of the entertainment industry, in particular rock radio and journalism. He currently has two radio shows, “Rockin’ in the USA” (focused on the history of rock) and “Crackin’ the Seal” (focused on new, independent, and unsigned artists and rock music) on Real Rock Radio, which broadcasts from Manchester, England. Earl, a former Marine, lives near Tampa, FL, where he is always on the lookout for the next great artist or band that will further the history of rock!
