Guilty of Rock is the seventh studio album from the always-loud, always-proud Aussie rock band CROSSON, and it doesn’t hold back. Packed with ten hook-filled, fist-in-the-air rock anthems and massive harmonies, this album will keep you coming back for more. The album’s production quality, with its meticulous attention to detail and use of cutting-edge techniques and sound engineering, is top-notch.
Jason Crosson, a vocalist ahead of his time, infuses the album with a range of emotions, from the raw power of rock to the tender moments of reflection. His vocals, reminiscent of everyone from Kiss to David Bowie, add a layer of depth and emotion to the powerful rock tracks. This album rocks to the max, and you can feel the intensity of these incredible musicians. The opening track, “Nobody Wins,” was inspired by the Russian/Ukraine war and prepares you for ten songs that will not only rock your socks off but also move you deeply.
“No Solution” and “Love You In Another Life” will bring back memories of the great Meatloaf/ Jim Steinman recordings. “Guilty of Rock” serves as a heartfelt tribute to rock fans throughout the years, a testament to the band’s deep respect and unwavering appreciation for their audience. “Heaven’s Bell” begins with a beautiful piano opening followed by some nice bass accompaniment, and eventually begins to rock out. Also included on this album are “Bound For Glory,” “Warriors Of The World,” “Tomorrow,” “Our Way Or The Highway,” and “Don’t Bring Me Down.”
This album is a winner and should be in everyone’s music collection. Mr. Crosson’s dedication to keeping rock music and theatrics alive is evident throughout the entire album. His excellent performance should be recognized and appreciated by all rock music enthusiasts. I recommend that you catch him live or, at the very least, check out some videos of this great entertainer.
