Absent for two years due to the pandemic, the Baloise Session, considered one of the most beautiful European indoor festivals, is resuming with a vengeance this year, with a predominant Pop program, which curiously reminds us of the time of its creation, which was launched back in autumn 1985.
This year’s Baloise Session takes place from 27 Octobert to 11 November.
Béatrice Stirnimann, the Director of the Festival and her friendly Team, invite us to a musical dive into Europe.
It is the indoor festival par excellence. Cozy and lounge atmosphere with its small candle-lit tables where you can enjoy a good glass of Prosecco, while listening to the biggest names of the moment.
Pop anthems with nostalgia and new awareness Country-rock with a romantic road-movie feel, acclaimed superstars and exciting Swiss newcomers. Hamburg’s cosmopolitan outlook, French charm and Italy’s heartfelt emotions. Plus, jazz with soul and innovative grooves. All this and much more is served up for this 2022 edition.
The American Pop group ONE REPUBLIC and the Scottish singer-songwriter, LEWIS CAPALDI will perform twice in this festival.
ROCK AT NIGHT is eager to be able to attend and possibly request an interview with rock band from Jacksonville (Florida), TEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND, who are embarking on a European tour to promote the quadrilogy “I AM THE MOON”. Four albums, each accompanied by a film. An ambitious project.
The enormous degree of musical eclecticism that characterizes the line up of this 2022 Swiss Festival also counts with Artists from completely distinct backgrounds such as GREGORY PORTER, the Texans funk SNARKY PUPPY, the delirious French ZAZ, the Irish wink with KODALINE and GAVIN JAMES and a great closing night that promises to be exciting and conducive to dancing, with HOLLY JOHNSON (the Kid of FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD) and the trip-hop band MORCHEEBA. ZIAN, the local rising star, will participate to the Baloise Session for the first time.
BALOISE SESSION will lift the joy, the hope of a return to a normal world, where we can once again express the power of emotions.

From Belgian and Italian parents, I grew up with music, dance and big fun! I love singing since I'm a little girl, I still am, haha. When I was 14, I saw my first concert: T-Rex. Later it was FrankZappa, Miles Davis, Chick Corea, Fela, Canned Heat, Little Feat, Bonnie Raitt, Earth, Wind and Fire ....
I dreamed to have a chat with each of them 😀 Before interviewing bands, I used to sing (and still do) and met lots of great musicians. I had the chance to be the support band to Joe Cocker in 2007. I love to communicate and meet people (Italian blood).
Working for magazine, a few years ago, l met José Oliveira! We were working at the same festival in Colmar. 2 people from the South with the same passion just recognized each other...and we stayed in contact since then. Here I am! Enjoying concerts, covering interviews and articles with José for Rock at Night!!
