This band has a monster sound.  The band is the brainchild of the celebrated harmonica player, UK’s Will Wylde (the brother of Dani Wylde) and features the distinctive guitar playing of Stephen “The Beak” Brook. As a harmonica player, Will has been nominated several times as “Blues Instrumentalist of the Year” at the UK Blues Awards.  The rest of the lineup includes: Jack Turnbull on bass and Alan Taylor on drums.

Bad Luck Friday is a heavy classic rock and roll band, but instead of playing guitar solos, the songs on the new album (except for the song “Dust & Bones”) feature harmonica solos instead of guitar solos. No other rock band is doing this. The emphasis on the harmonica gives Bad Luck Friday it’s unique edge.

The band is influenced by Audioslave, Soundgarden and Alter Bridge, but the harmonica embellishes their heavy sound with a dedicated homage to blues rock. Combined with Stephen’s monster guitar riffs, the listener is hooked! The band has just released the title track from the upcoming album that is due to drop on September 2, 2022 on Wilde Fire Records. Stay tuned for Rock at Night’s album review.

About the single “Bad Luck Friday,” Rock at Night says:

This is a straight up bluesy hard rock with a killer harmonica lead that reminded me of John Mayall’s band back in the day! With a well produced video, heavy on the guitar riffs and thumping great bottom this band is well on their way to become a tour de force. The lyrics are the familiar rock and roll plot of selling one’s soul to the devil in return for fame and fortune. But karma is so good, even when it’s bad! And we got the good music in return! Bravo!
