Review: SOKOJO’s debut EP More – Release date February 4, 2022

California. Founded in 2018, SOKOJO is composed of Kris Soekotjo (lead vocal/guitar), Kyle Soekotjo (guitar/vocals), Sabastian Neudeck (drums) and Jeff Lane (bass/vocals). Drawing influences from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s rock scenes, yet honing an original sound that feels at home in the 2020s, SOKOJO’s songs hold meaningful messages, feel radio-ready, and have their unique set of fingerprints.

ROCK AT NIGHT SAYS: Listening to SOKOJO’s debut EP, there’s something for everybody in it.  “More” is pure rock ‘n’ roll (a song for cruisin’); “Something Real” is a ballad that builds into full-blown rock (for those chill moments); “Never Knew” is a catchy alt rock tune with a distinctive Latin rhythm (for those who like The Growlers); “Keeps Me Going” is a fast-moving, very 80s rock-sounding song with an infectious guitar riff (more music for dancing and cruisin’).
