Well, this lady knows how to rock! This single and video dropped on March 26th, 2021 and is creating a lot of buzz. “Wild & Strange” features some well known musical crazies— Tyler Bryant who is the frontman of his own band, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, Frank Ferrer of Guns N’ Roses, Rob Bailey who plays with David Johansen, Brett Bass who was in Gregg Allman‘s band all join Madysin Hatter in this fierce song about female command and control. The song was written by Madysin Hatter and Rob Bailey who also produced the song. The video is very fast moving, great shots and direction, loved it!
Madysin is a bi-coastal girl, hails from New Jersey and spends time in LA as well. She has a voice that is in a higher register than most, but it works and this cut is well written and led me on an online path to check out some of her older videos. Sometimes her voice is powerful and other times, breathy and gentle. I love how she can use her voice both of these ways in the same recording.
She has opened for bands such as Buckcherry, Winger, Tom Keifer of Cinderella, Lita Ford, Kix, and Faster Pussycat and has collaborated with many others. Madysin has worked on Broadway and musical theater, therefore her performances are very theatrical; she knows how to put on a show! Note to self: I want to see this lady live!
