New Release: September 25, 2020
Mad Nona from Reykjavik, Iceland play some incredible rock and roll with a touch of metal! Believe it or not, the pandemic was the catalyst for the longtime friends to start bouncing around some musical ideas–and the band formed organically during the lockdown. Their first independently produced album drops on September 25, 2020. This kind of rock is loved in the great white north and it can really warm up a crowd on a frosty night!
Each cut is fast and driving with a melange of hard core rock, metal, grunge and blues. Some heavy influences can be heard like everyone’s favorite, Led Zeppelin and Soundgarden, just to name a few. Seattle-type grunge was a genre the band gravitated to also. The band is made up of Arnar Fredrics doing lead vocals, Thor Fitzgerald on lead guitar and vocals and on drums, Kristjan B. On their Bandcamp page they note that they are coffee lovers and one can sure hear the caffeinated excitement in their songs. You can purchase the album on the Bandcamp page as well–it is linked below. Rock at Night is looking forward to hearing more from this band!
***Arnar, the lead singer has just tested positive for the Covid virus and we at Rock at Night wish him the best during his ongoing recovery.
