Rock At Night loves to promote musicians, especially women in rock. We’d like to introduce to you NIKKA COSTA. She has a great bluesy, raspy voice and just released a single on March 24th–a fantastic cover of “Nothing Comapres 2 U.” It is truly heartfelt.
Says Nikka – “I’m really excited to have recorded the new album with a rhythm section and a string quartet! I have some songs I’ve always wanted to record with this line up and make into a very special album featuring this music I love. I grew up surrounded by orchestras and its music that is close to my heart. The new album features some standards, some unexpected covers and some of my own new material written especially for this project! I’m so excited!”

I grew up in a household full of rock music, studied journalism in college, and then became a scientist.Although my science career has served me well, music has always played a major role in my life. I grew up reading "Creem" magazine; I play several musical instruments as a "hobby";and it seems a camera has always been in my hand. Now, I am combining what I love the most--music and photography--serving as editor of Rock At Night. I travel between the US and UK seeking my dream! My motto: life is short...no regrets. Chyrisse
