Review: Rapscallion’s single “(Your’e Bloody Well Getting) Rock and Roll (Tonight)-Release date February 5, 2021 through Delightful Recordings

Rapscallion released their first single this month on all major platforms. This song is part of their upcoming album Maximum Splendid, which will be released in April 2021. Rapscallion is a band from Brighton, UK and they have been performing different live shows and concerts – especially the steampunk festivals. Moog Gravett is the project’s creator who is responsible for all the main vocal and instrumentation for this song. The band is heavily influenced by – Queen, AC/DC, Foo Fighters, The Darkness, Guns ‘n’ Roses.

Though it is a song review, but I have to start with the music video. The only thing I can say about the music video is – “Weirdly genius”. I absolutely loved watching it over and over again. The song starts as the purest rock–and it can not get purer than this. I can tell it has influences from all the greats like – AC/DC, KISS, Guns n’ Roses, etc. The riffs and the drums are optimally used to give a perfect classic rock vibe. The vocals may be compared to Paul Stanley of Kiss.

Overall the sound creates an ambiance of a live show. The lyrics of the song is fun and basically describes what the song title says. I have to admit, I’m bloody well getting rock and roll, as I am hearing the song right now.
