Dizzy Reed

Long time Guns N’ Roses keyboardist, Dizzy Reed, spent the weekend rocking crowds at the Wolf Den. Playing back to back shows on Friday and Saturday nights, Dizzy brought along current GN’R drummer Frank Ferrer, some friends, Quiet Riot guitarist, Alex Grossi, and Los Angeles Bass Virtuoso, Tsuzumi Okai.

Frank Ferrer

Covering Guns N’ Roses favorites “Knocking on Heaven’s Door “ and “Sweet Child O’ Mine”, Dizzy’s vocals invoke an Axl Rose quality. Alex Grossi showed why he has become one of today’s premier guitarists. Tsuzumi Okai played a hyper energetic bass, while GN’ R great, drummer Frank Ferrer, was having a blast smiling all night. Dizzy and this extremely talented band showed off their versatility switching effortlessly between David Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust”, Elton John’s “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting” to Rolling Stone’s “Sympathy For the Devil”.

Alex Grossi

Dizzy and the band came to play and have some fun. Encouraging the crowd to participate, and talking to them between songs. Guitarist Alex Grossi received a hometown ovation when he told the audience he was from nearby Hartford, Connecticut and Dizzy invited everyone to gamble with him after the show.

The loyal GN’R fans were treated to a great performance and really seemed to appreciate Dizzy coming out to do these shows. Especially considering the next scheduled Guns N’ Roses tour won’t be until next summer in Europe.
