Venue: Festival of Friends–Ancaster, Ontario, Canada–August 7, 2015

This past Saturday at the 40th annual Festival of Friends, the band Fozzy entertained the growing crowd.  Fronted by former wrestler Chris Jericho, the band put on one amazingly energetic and loud performance.  From the first note until the last note, it was a nonstop show you didn’t want to miss.  Performing his own songs along with the cover tune SOS by ABBA, Chris Jericho was always in motion all the while getting the crowd involved in helping sing his songs.

There were a lot of similarities to his old wrestling days evident throughout the performance. Most of the movements of the band seemed to be choreographed from song to song looking like the way a wrestling match would progress.   Jericho was constantly climbing on a road case placed at the front of the stage to interact with the crowd, very reminiscent of climbing the ropes of the “squared circle” to engage the crowd and giving them the “I can’t hear you” by holding his hand to his ear.  But, choreographed or not, Fozzy certainly kept the crowd rockin’.

Members: Chris Jericho (lead vocals, piano), Rich Ward (guitars, backing vocals), Frank Fontsere (drums, percussion), Billy Grey (guitars, backing vocals), and Jeff Rouse (bass guitar, backing vocals); Genre: metal/rock; Hometown: Atlanta, Georgia
